Pillar of Enoch Web Site News:
After seventeen years, the time has at last arrived!
It brings me great joy to state that I have finished my non-fiction book “The Language of God – Yah’s Nature Revealed Through His Creation!”
After many countless hours of research, prayer, and writing, I have completed a Christian resource book that is both highly meticulous and as biblically sound as I could make it. Please go to my web site at http://pillar-of-enoch.com/Book1/ to read the new book synopsis and all the excerpts now available online for every chapter. Highlighted links to all the book’s chapters appear in the chapter outline section of the main Language of God index as well as on the main Pillar of Enoch portal page at http://pillar-of-enoch.com/index2.html. Upon clicking on any of these links, you will be routed to a book excerpt page with information either directly or indirectly pertaining to the highlighted term. To see the many topics covered in this informative book, please be sure to look over the Table of Contents as it appears in the book at: http://pillar-of-enoch/Book1/intro.html.
As I prepare to publish this book, I hope and pray both the book and the web site dedicated to it will lead many people to Christ before the Great Tribulation and Last Judgment. Since the book is not yet in print, it is still being proofed and checked for discrepancies. If you notice any discrepancies on the web site or feel I have my facts incorrect on any subject in the book excerpts, please feel free to contact me via e-mail and I will check into it promptly. I want to make sure this book is as accurate and error free as possible before it goes to press and your help is encouraged and appreciated.
I was not ready to officially launch the Pillar of Enoch web site until I finished writing this book since much of the information contained on the web site is a reflection of this book’s contents. Now that the book is finished and ready for publication, I feel fully prepared to share all Yahweh has shown me through His Spirit.
This month therefore marks the official launch of my Pillar of Enoch web site! HalleluYAH! I am deeply thankful to Yahshua that I have at last reached this momentous time in my life. His hand has guided me every step of the way. Through Yahshua’s Spirit, I believe that writing and sharing my 275,000-word non-fiction book “The Language of God – Yah’s Nature Revealed Through His Creation” is the main reason I was born. It contains many revelations and ideas that are unique and I believe that the ministering teaching of the Holy Spirit within me inspired them.
For those of you who find the online excerpts inspiring you with a desire to read the entire book, “The Language of God – Yah’s Nature Revealed Through His Creation” will be in print around June of 2004! In addition, for those who make an advance payment using Pay Pal, a PDF version of the unedited manuscript will be made available after January 25, 2004 that includes a table of contents, bibliography, and several in-text charts.
For advance purchasers only, the cost for the future printed book to US residents is $30.00, which includes shipping and handling and access to the downloadable PDF version of my book. After the book is published, the purchase price for the printed and PDF books together will increase to $40.00. Shipping and handling is $5.00 extra to Canada and $10.00 to other foreign destinations. The published book will include a full color cover, charts, illustrations, an extensive index and a bibliography. To order your advance copy of “The Language of God – Yah’s Nature Revealed Through His Creation,” please go to my Pillar of Enoch web site at http://pillar-of-enoch.com/BUY/ and use the appropriate Pay Pal payment link for your location.
If you know of anyone who might be interested in my books or web pages, please feel free to forward this newsletter to them. I appreciate your help in making this web site a successful ministry. I want to reach as many people as possible with the knowledge of Yah’s Language and its use as a key to understanding biblical prophecy as we approach the End of the world, as we know it. Please see the web pages I have made for last two chapters of my book and the appendix at http://pillar-of-enoch.com/Book1/ to find some of what I have to say about End Time prophecy and my belief that the Last Day of the Lord has arrived and the events foretold about that Day are already unfolding. To learn all of my theories regarding the End Times and my interpretations of prophecy, however, you will have to buy the book unless you want to wait. In a year or two, I will make the entire book available online.
I am also in the process of listing my web site and newsletter as a non-profit religious ministry. If you feel moved to donate money to maintain my web site or to support my newsletter ministry, a donation link to Pay Pal is at the bottom of my web site’s main page at http://pillar-of-enoch.com/index2.html. Any contributions would be gratefully appreciated.
If you have not visited my web site recently, you will notice that it is very different (and hopefully better!) than it was before. For those of you who have been there recently, however, you may want to visit it again as I have changed the main page format and added many new links. Please let me know if you have any problems with the new format or with accessing links. Your insights into any way I can improve the book, web site or this newsletter are desired and I encourage all of you to give me feedback on how I am doing whenever it is possible for you to do so.
Before presenting my first newsletter Bible teaching, I want to share some news about my fictional book series called the Pillar of Enoch Book Trilogy. This fiction series opens during the time of the Nephilim, at the time when Enoch, the seventh from Adam in the line of Seth was the ruling patriarch.
The first book in the Pillar of Enoch Fiction Trilogy is slated for completion by December of 2004. I delayed revising the original manuscript written in 1995 due to the incredible amounts of research and time that went into writing my non-fiction book: “The Language of God – Yah’s Nature Revealed Through His Creation.” This book is a detailed compilation of all the facts behind the fiction in the Pillar of Enoch Trilogy. So there would be no need to do further revisions, I wanted to have all the factual information behind my fictional books clear in my mind. Finishing “The Language of God – Yah’s Nature Revealed Through His Creation” was therefore essential before starting any revisions.
I hope everything you find on my web site and in this newsletter will help you to draw ever closer to Yahweh, Yahshua and the Holy Spirit as the main subjects of our Christian faith and the sole authors and finishers of our salvation from sin and death. Please feel free to e-mail me at: firstname.lastname@example.org with any comments or questions you may have about any of the material contained in this newsletter or in the Bible teaching that follows.
In the meantime, I hope that everything you read here will bless and spiritually uplift you.
Yours in Yahshua,
This Month’s Bible Teaching:
“Understanding the Holy Spirit - Yahshua’s Gift to All Believers”
By: Helena McNeilly

“If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent. For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” (NIV)
In the preceding Bible quotation, Yahshua was quoting from the Book of Hosea (Hosea 6:6). In its Old Testament context, this passage is referring to the fact the Yahweh ordered the Israelites to offer Him blood sacrifices on the altar as an example of mercy, not cruelty!!! Yet the Jews missed the mercy they were being given by being allowed to escape death through a substitutionary sacrifice. Instead they saw blood sacrifice as an act of cruelty and therefore began to think Yahweh God wanted them to act cruelly to one another with accusation, burdensome rules and judgement. This was never Yahweh’s desire, however.
Yah’s mandate that all who willfully broke the Law should be killed without mercy was not a lesson in cruelty. Instead it presented a potential opportunity for us to show mercy. Yah wanted people to learn to show mercy to one another just as He has shown mercy to us by allowing us to live even though we ALL deserve to die for our sins. In the sacrificial death of an innocent animal, Yahweh wanted us to learn the price that God Himself would have to pay to free us from the bondage of sin. Yah also wanted us to understand that it is not in the offering of sacrifices or in stoning sinners that we are deemed righteous but in learning to show and give mercy as God does. This is what Yahweh tried to teach Israel in vain:
“This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not think evil of each other.' But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and stopped up their ears.” (NIV)
Self sacrifice is also not what Yahweh intended for us. The words of Yahshua I used to open this study confirm this, for the Jews had turned the Sabbath into a restrictive day of self-sacrifice and denial. The Sabbath therefore became a burden instead of a blessing and caused Yahshua to voice the following condemnation:
"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices-- mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law-- justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.” (NIV)
Yahshua was speaking here to fellow Jews who had learned to keep the letter of the Law while completely forgetting to keep the Spirit of the Law! Yet Yahshua never intended for us to give up every bonafide pleasure in life to please Him. Yahshua instead wanted us to die to our self-willed existence and be filled with His Spirit so that we could one day live free from sin and act with real mercy and compassion. There is only one way to do that and self-motivated self-sacrifice cannot achieve this. Only in accepting Yahshua’s self-sacrifice as our own can we find freedom from sin and the gift of eternal life with Him. To accept Yahshua’s gift of eternal life and holiness, however, we must give up our right to choose and let Yahshua choose for us through His Spirit living in us.
Yet there is a catch: we are NOT born with the Spirit of Yah inside us. Our personal indwelling portion of Yah’s Spirit instead must be obtained through faith. Only through believing in Yahshua and the power of His Name can we receive the Holy Spirit. Once the Spirit dwells within us, Yahshua can then show us the way to live life Yah’s way. We will then find that we are increasingly more able to give and receive compassion, love, mercy and forgiveness - just as Yahshua did. No written Law is needed then, for the Spirit will help us perform the actions that are a public witness to our true faith in Yahshua:
James 2:13-14, 21-22, 26
“…because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment! What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? … Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?… You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. … As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.”
The Apostle James was not contradicting the Apostle Paul’s declaration that we are justified by faith and not by works (Galatians 3:11). James was merely pointing out that, if our faith is GENUINE, we will have the guidance of the Holy Spirit to direct us to do good works in accord with the Father’s Will for us. Good works directed by Yah’s Spirit are therefore the outward manifestation of genuine faith. So it is not in keeping the Old Law but in listening to and doing the Will of Yah’s Spirit living in us that we show our faith in Yahshua.
The reason why a murderer was condemned to die in Ancient Israel was because he or she allowed their anger, fear or rage to motivate them to act without compassion or mercy toward the real or imagined cause of their misery. In the same way, an adulterous person acts without mercy toward their spouse when they cheat on them without remorse. But if we as judges have mercy, we will not judge the murderer or sexually adulterous party without seeking to know why they committed their crime first.
For example, if the sexually faithful spouse has been unfaithful to their spouse in other respects such as in not giving affection to or in never seeking the advice and companionship of their mate, they too are guilty of adultery. Adultery in marriage can therefore be defined as acting without mercy or with cruelty toward the other party in the marriage.
Only when we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us can we truly know what it means to give and receive mercy and fulfill the desire of Yah’s heart for us: to act with mercy, not judgement and to live a life of faith:
“Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard? Consider Abraham: “He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham.”
In the preceding Scripture, Paul quoted from Scripture (Genesis 15:6) to teach that, just as Abraham was, the Gentiles (Non-Jews) are justified by faith. In fact, Yahweh announced this truth in advance to Abraham:
“The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.” (NIV)
In the preceding Scripture, Paul again quotes from the Old Testament (Genesis 12:3) and uses Abraham as a example, It is important here to note that Abraham received this promise that all nations would be blessed through him before the Law of Moses was written down. Abraham was therefore not subject to this written Law but to the dictates of his conscience that was guided by the Spirit of God. Furthermore, the Apostle Paul makes it clear that all who rely on observing the Law instead of following the guidance of God’s own Spirit that is given in faith (as Abraham did) are under a curse:
“All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.” (NIV)
Here, Paul quotes from Old Testament Scripture again (Deuteronomy 27:26) to show that the Law is a curse for anyone if they do not do all that the Law requires. As sinners, however, we are not capable of doing so without God’s help, and before the coming of the Holy Spirit, Yah’s help was not readily given. Instead, it had to be earned. This is why (as Saint Paul also says) Yahshua redeemed us from the curse of the Law in becoming a curse for us. Through Yahshua’s sacrifice, we are again allowed to fellowship with God through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. When we have the Holy Spirit, we are no longer enslaved by the imposition of keeping the written Law, but free to act as the Spirit of God leads us.
The Law is a burden we are meant to be free of, but only through life in the Spirit. Through the following words, Yahshua showed us the way to receive that freedom:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (NIV)
In the preceding Scripture, the initial burden Yahshua was referring to is the heavy yoke of the Law. Yahshua is the key to finding freedom from the Law’s oppressive weight. Through Christ’s Spirit, we are given His yoke: a yoke that is not burdensome at all but one of freedom and joy. But until Yahshua came into the World, the gift of the Holy Spirit was not available to everyone. The curse of relying on oneself to follow the Law was therefore in full effect except for a few enlightened individuals who were devout and humble enough to earn Yah’s favor:
“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, “streams of living water” will flow from within him. By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.” (NIV)
Here Yahshua quotes Scripture (Exodus 17:6; Ezekiel 47:1; Zechariah 14:8) to show that He had come to give believers the Holy Spirit so that the “living water” of faith and mercy could flow from them. In this way, believers pour forth the gracious blessings of the Spirit just as Yahshua our Rock, His Temple (the Church), and His holy city Jerusalem do or will do.
After Yahshua’s death and resurrection (through which He was glorified), all those who believe in Yahshua as God and atoning sacrifice have the opportunity to receive the Holy Spirit. This is only automatic, however, when our faith in Yahshua is truly genuine and we accept Yahshua as our Savior, relinquish control of our lives to Him, and then humbly ask to receive His Holy Spirit. When we do this, we will receive the Spirit of God. When the Holy Spirit so directs us, we are then free of the burdensome yoke of the Law – and ONLY then. Thereafter, our need to remember and observe every written portion of the Old Testament Law is lifted.
This does not mean we can or will want to act contrary to the Law, however. It simply means that believers who are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit are justified by their faith and submission to Yahweh God rather than in their submission to the Law. If we have the Holy Spirit, we will find ourselves living by the dictates of the Law of God without any burdensome effort. We will find our ability to live by and follow the Ten Commandments and the Two Commandments based on those Ten that Yahshua taught us (Matthew 22:37-40) easier to do as time goes by.
We need the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit to experience the true benefits of living and being free in Christ. In light of our absolute need for the gift of the Holy Spirit, I urge all of you who read this to examine your hearts to see if your faith is truly genuine and if you have the gift of the Holy Spirit or not. To find out, ask yourself these questions:
Do I continually ask Yahshua to help me to keep His Commandments or do I rely on myself to follow and apply the teachings of the Bible?
Am I seeking Yah’s Will in every decision I make or am I acting on my own will and then asking for His blessing?
Do I take the time to be quiet and listen until I hear the voice of the Spirit giving me Yah’s Will in my life or do I assume that I already know Yah’s Will based on the Bible’s words alone?
Do I believe in who and what Yahshua is and therefore act in and pray through His Spirit living in me? Or do I assume that all I pray for will be given to me because I used Yahshua’s Name like a magical incantation when I pray?
If we can and do hear the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to us, then we will do the former and not the latter in each of the above questions. If we live and act with the direction of the Holy Spirit, then we are truly free from the curse of the Law and we can live as Paul and Christ hoped we would – with mercy, love and compassion for one another. Otherwise, we are lost souls like boats without a sail or rudder and subject again to the restrictions and condemnation of the Law.
It is up to you on how you choose to live. Are you ready to live your life by true faith and give yourself over to the Will of Yahshua’s Spirit? Or do you need the Law to guide you because you are unwilling to relinquish control of your life to God? If so, you are denying the power of the Holy Spirit to guide you. In effect, you are seeking human praise for doing as they think is right. You are doing self-motivated acts of self-sacrifice using a prescribed formula for salvation instead of seeking Yahshua’s praise for acting as He personally directs you through His Spirit. You are relying on yourself to keep the letter of the Law instead of trusting the Spirit to help you keep the Spirit of the Law.
Take the time to hear the Spirit’s voice calling to you today. When you humbly seek to listen to the Spirit, I know you will LITERALLY hear the Spirit’s voice speaking to you from within you - just as Yahshua promised:
“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” (NIV)
How else can the Spirit do as Yahshua says above unless we actually hear the Spirit’s Voice or receive thought images and impressions directly from the Spirit? So, in addition to following the teaching of Yahshua’s Spirit revealed in the Bible, each true believer is granted the gift of listening to Yahweh directly through the Spirit and being motivated by that same Spirit to do as Yahweh asks – always within the framework of God’s Law.
If you are a true believer in Yahshua, you cannot deny the power of the Holy Spirit. Claim your privilege as a believer and seek to hear Yahweh today! Ask the Spirit to guide you and then really listen for an answer. I guarantee that you WILL hear Yah’s voice if you believe in Yahshua and humbly ask for His Spirit to indwell you and guide you. If you have not asked for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, take the time out now to pray for it. If you do not know how to ask, I’ve included the following prayer asking Yahshua for the gift of the Holy Spirit:
I believe that You are the Son of God and that Salvation comes only through believing in You and living in Your Name. Thank You for Your Salvation and the promise of the Holy Spirit’s power to transform me. I desire to live in the Spirit and to gradually be changed so that I am free from sin.
Please free me from slavery to sin and the Law by giving me the Holy Spirit so that I will know how to live in Your Name and do Your Will in my life. Show me how to act with real mercy and compassion, just as You did.
Guide me to turn to You first before I choose to do anything or make any decision. Help me to first listen for Your Voice and to follow what I hear Your Spirit leading me to do. I now seek to be transformed by Your Spirit and to live and act as You do - with mercy and compassion.
I ask for this in Your Name, Yahshua. Amen!”
Ask for the Holy Spirit now in prayer and keep asking. In time, if your faith in Yahshua and your desire for His salvation is genuine, I know you will feel, see and HEAR results. However, though Yah does desire to speak directly to us through His Spirit, He at times calls us to wait on Him. This means that Yah does not always give us an answer right away. Sometimes we have to wait in faith for Yah to reply, perhaps weeks or months at a time.
In this way, Yah tests and strengthens our faith in Him. So don’t be disappointed when you don’t always hear a reply to your prayerful inquiries for direction. Just remember to WAIT like Abraham did in faith and, if possible, hold off on making any decisions until you hear from Yahweh through His Spirit.
