How the Pillar of Enoch Ministry
Logo and Name Were Derived

People have asked me why I use the three biggest pyramids at Giza in Egypt as a site logo, and what they have to do with religion and the Bible. They have also asked me what “The Pillar of Enoch” means, or specifically refers to, and what this pillar has to do with God. These are valid questions that deserve an answer. Here is my response:

My beliefs are based partly on the testimony of the Jewish Historian Josephus, who claims that the righteous descendents of Seth were experts in the science of
The Great Sphinx
|
Astronomy. Josephus testified that, prior to the Great Flood, the Sethites built two great monuments to preserve their astronomical and spiritual knowledge for future generations. One was built of stone, and the other of brick. According to Josephus, these monuments could still be found in Mizraim (i.e. Egypt) during his lifetime in the 1st Century AD. There is plenty of evidence cited in “The Language of God” Book Series that substantiates Josephus' claims about the descendents of Seth. In the course of the series, I explain that the antediluvians were not only astronomers par excellence, but also ambitious monumental builders with incredible creativity and skill. It would therefore be quite odd if the righteous among the intellectually and physically superior antediluvians did not have some major role in building these great monuments before the Great Flood of Noah.

The Great Pyramid is built of stone, and the Great Sphinx has a base built mostly of brick. Furthermore, both structures are perfectly aligned to true north and east, and have numerous connections to astronomy. They therefore fit Josephus’ descriptions of the two monuments that the godly descendents of Seth built. This makes them likely candidates for the monuments that Josephus claims existed in Egypt during his lifetime. From my research, I have ascertained that the Great Pyramid and the Great Sphinx are incredibly complex astronomical markers that were partly meant to tell us the time of Earth’s creation, and the time that the Earth, as we know it, will cease to exist. Even more importantly, these monuments show that some of our antediluvian ancestors knew of the biblically laid out Path to Salvation before the Bible was written! In addition, they knew of, and longed for the coming of the great Deliverer and Messiah that the signs in the heavens surrounding our Earth conveyed hidden knowledge about.
As my book “The Language of God in the Universe” and all of the other books in the Language series convey, these heavenly signs were imbued with meaning by God at the moment of their creation, and the righteous Sethites before the Flood learned how to understand these signs in the stars through Enoch, the Scribe of Righteousness, who knew how to read the “Heavenly Tablets” as they were called in his era. Through the Sacred Astronomy that Enoch helped to devise and his knowledge about the Gospel in the Stars, the righteous antediluvian followers of Yahweh understood the need for that single Messiah to complete His work on Earth as a priest, sacrifice for sin, king, and judge. That is why they were compelled to memorialize these spiritual truths in stone - to stand as a testimony of this great knowledge in the stars until the end of time.

Due to Josephus’ testimony and many other factors, I believe that the seventh antediluvian patriarch named Enoch in the line of Seth designed the Giza Complex, and that his descendents built the Great Pyramid, the other two big pyramids at Giza, and the Great Sphinx.
To aid people in their understanding of how and why the Pillar of Enoch should be considered a godly edifice, I have written over 250 pages in my book “The Language of God in Prophecy” about the spiritual, prophetic, and scientific meaning of the Pillar of Enoch, as I call the pyramid of Khufu/Cheops. In addition, that book discusses the astronomical meaning of the Great Sphinx.

Furthermore, there are over 250 pages devoted to the entire Giza Pyramid Complex and the Dahshur pyramids from Old Kingdom Egypt in my book “The Language of God in History,”
which will be in print by April 2009. This book shows the astronomical correlations of these sites and their relationship to the Gospel in the Stars, which Christ wrote into the heavens when He created them. The connection of the Great Pyramid or Pillar of Enoch with Stonehenge is also explored, as well as their connection to the Desert Tabernacles built by Moses and the Temple of Yahweh that was built in the Kingdom of Israel by King Solomon.
Altogether, I have written more than 500 pages about the amazing spiritual significance of the Pillar of Enoch in my four “Language of God” series books. If Enoch did not build these monuments, I believe that Methuselah probably did using his father's master plan. There is also a possibility that Noah and his son Shem built the Great Pyramid and Great Sphinx after the Flood using antediluvian knowledge. However, more evidence exists that supports a Pre-Flood origin for these monuments. More recently, some people have proposed that the Israelites built the Great Pyramid under the patriarch Joseph’s direction when he was the Vizier of Egypt. Though this is an intriguing idea, there is not much archeological or circumstantial support for this. There is, however, some evidence that Joseph can be equated with a 5th Dynasty Vizier named Ptah-hotep, who wrote an ancient book of proverbs called “The Instruction of Ptah-hotep.” This ancient manuscript has been called “the oldest book in the world,” though I believe the Ethiopian Book of Enoch undoubtedly holds that distinction.
In addition, some scholars think Joseph could have been the model for the legendary, deified figure named Imhotep. In my opinion, based on biblical genealogical information, there are better candidates for Imhotep than Joseph. Take Abraham, for example. Josephus tells us that Abraham taught Astronomy to the Egyptians. This fact leaves one with the intriguing possibility that Abraham could have constructed the pyramids at Giza, and may also have carved the Dendera Zodiac, though both were likely in existence hundreds of years before Abraham was born.
Regardless of who built the Great Pyramid, stone pillars such as this have biblical precedents. In fact, in ancient times, heaps of stones and monolithic stone pillars were used as altars to Yahweh where offerings of blood, wine, and oil could be poured. These liquid offerings were given to God in supplication, to give thanks, to seek forgiveness, to receive atonement from sin, and to seal covenant contracts between men and God.
I believe that the Great Pyramid at Giza was conceived to represent one of these sacred stone heaps or pillars - but on a very grand scale meant to last until the end of time. These stone monuments were built to last so that they could serve as a witness to the great spiritual, scientific, and astronomical knowledge of the righteous people among the Sethites. In addition, they were built to serve as a lasting testimony about the greatness and mercy of God the Father and His wonderful Son Yahshua.
There is much evidence in Scripture that supports the conclusions I’ve drawn about the Great Pyramid and Great Sphinx. One of the Scriptures that seems to allude to the Great Pyramid is shown on the adjacent graphic. In my books “The Language of God in Prophecy” and “The Language of God in History,”
I show that the Great Pyramid and Great Sphinx both appear to have a sacred purpose - and that the Giza plateau may have functioned as a gigantic altar and religious complex at one time.

In addition to the highlighted quote from Isaiah 19:19 supporting my views, there is the Scripture quoted on my introductory page graphic, which says “You have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, to this day” (Jer. 32:20). If not the Great Pyramid and Great Sphinx at Giza, which have no Pagan decorative elements or inscriptions of any kind, what else could Jeremiah have been referring to? There are also references to Christ as the Chief Cornerstone, or Capstone in Scripture, which may allude to the pyramidion-shaped capstone that is conspicuously missing on the Great Pyramid. This crowning pyramidion would be an apt symbol for Christ, who is the head of the Church and the crowning glory in God’s Plan of Salvation.
These Scripture references are backed up with much more factual information supporting Josephus’ claims, which I fully explore in “The Language of God in Prophecy.” This book and my book “The Language of God in History” clearly explains the many reasons why I believe that the Great Pyramid, the two other large pyramids at Giza, and the Great Sphinx may have functioned as altars to Yahweh built by the antediluvian ancestors of Seth. I also show how the Giza pyramids may have been built as a godly testimony of faith. This association of the Great Pyramid and other Old Kingdom pyramids with Enoch and his righteous descendents is where I derived the name for my ministry, and the Pillar of Enoch that I am specifically alluding to is the Great Pyramid itself. This name also serves as a general title for “The Pillar of Enoch Trilogy” fiction books about antediluvian times that I am writing.
